Impact Protection

When the door unexpectedly encounters hard objects on the floor — such as stones, tools, or other debris. The garage door seals act as a built-in buffer, absorbing impact energy and preventing the bottom edge of the door panel from dents, scratches, or distortion. Beyond its primary sealing function, this protective capability adds an extra layer of “insurance” for your door, helping to extend the service life of the garage door itself.

Quality Assurance
Is the length of the seals standard? How do I choose the size I need?

No, they are not one-size-fits-all. Seals must match the width of your garage door exactly and are sold by the meter or foot. How to measure: After closing the door completely, use a tape measure to measure the actual width at the bottom of the door (from one end to the other). When purchasing, choose a product with a length that is at least not short than this measurement; if there is any excess during installation, you can trim it with a utility knife. Also, pay attention to the style of the sealing strip and prioritize one that is compatible with your door type.

What material is typically recommended for garage door seals?

EPDM offers superior weather resistance, maintains its elasticity within a temperature range of -40°C to 120°C, and has a relatively longer life.

What is the difference between standard seals and rodent-protection seals?

Standard seals provides some protection, but rats have sharp incisors and strong biting force; if the material is too soft, it can easily be chewed through. Specialized rodent-protection typically contains metal fibers, making it difficult for rats to go through. It is also thicker and denser, fitting more tightly into gaps so that even young rats cannot squeeze through.

Are there functional differences between different color seals?

Black and gray are the most common base colors favored by manufacturers and generally offer good UV resistance; colors such as brown, white are primarily used to coordinate with the door’s color and enhance the overall appearance.

How will you pack the garage door seals?

Usually they will be packed 50 meters/roll, we also provide OEM manufacturing services.
