KOP DOOR’s garage door cones are made by the same high quality die-cast aluminium as our cable drums. You can get multiple sizes spring cones from us, 1-3/4’’, 2’’, 2-5/8’’, 3-3/4’’, 5-1/4’’ and 6’’ with right wound and left wound, also for the commercial door installation, we also have bore diameter 1’’ and 1-1/4’’ shaft options.
Our garage door cones are used with garage door type of torsion springs meeting ASTM A229 Class II or galvanized wire and free of coating that can reduce friction between spring plugs and torsion springs. The thickness of our cones are stronger enough in the winding bar hole and spring wire threads to avoid any broken during installation.
Winding the torsion springs is very dangerous, so our garage door cones should be installed under the IDA and DASMA standard. Never anchor a set screw directly into the keyway of the shaft. And as our garage door cones are universal threads, thet can be black or red color coded for your convenience.
